PA property tax rebates:
PA offers a substantial property tax rebate annually for elderly homeowners with incomes under $35,000, using a specific formula. The rebate is claimed by submitting form PA-1000 which is mailed routinely if you qualified the previous year. We can obtain forms for first time filers.
It is necessary to have your tax bills stamped "PAID" by the tax collector. Submission deadline is usually June 30. For most filers, the rebate is $250.00. Depending on your level of income, it can be as high as $975.00.
Most school districts also offer a rebate if you qualified for the PA rebate. Rules vary among districts; however, most districts require that you photocopy your PA rebate check and submit the photocopy with your district application. Typical school district rebates are $250.00. Alert - in the Pen Argyl School District, you should obtain required forms in January of each year.
Renters - PA also offers a rebate to low income renters. While application is made using form PA-1000, income levels and filing requirements differ from those of the property tax rebate program.
NJ property tax relief - Elderly NJ homeowners may apply for a property tax rebate using a NJ application.
Computerized Payroll preparation -
Have checks delivered ready for employees; or
Have registers prepared and simulated checks emailed for use as paystub; however, you write checks (lower cost) - some banks have direct deposit payroll programs for your use; if yours does not, direct deposit can be processed through a national clearing house. This is generally not economical for small employers with only a few employees.
